About Our Founder
Northern Leatherette Co. was founded by husband and wife, Logan and Tayia, makers at heart who understand firsthand how important quality materials are to the creative process.
The duo also run their maker brand Rustix Apparel. Through years of designing, producing, and refining products, they experienced the same challenges many creators face — inconsistent materials, limited options, and a lack of Canadian suppliers in the leatherette and adhesive space.
After working within the industry and seeing both the strengths and shortcomings of existing products, Logan identified a clear gap in the market: a reliable, Canadian-based option that truly supports makers with high-performing, easy-to-use materials. Northern Leatherette Co. was built to fill that gap.
Today, the company is focused on supplying leatherette and adhesive solutions that makers can trust — whether they’re crafting one-of-a-kind pieces or scaling a growing business.
Logan lives in Arnprior, Ontario, with his wife Tayia and their children. When he’s not working on the business or supporting fellow makers, you’ll likely find him outdoors enjoying deer and waterfowl hunting, or tracking down unique collectibles.
